Background Information: | Testis-specific serine kinases (TSSK1 and TSSK2) are expressed exclusively in testis of sexually mature males. TSSK1 and TSSK2 are absent in released sperms in the lumen of the seminiferous tubules and the epididymis, suggesting they play a role in motility and morphology of spermatozoa. Inhibition of TSSK1 may cause male sterility.
