Background Information: | The PathHunter® mMC5R Cell Pool is a stable, engineered cell pool for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This cell pool enables assessment of ligand (e.g. melanotan II) based activation of mMC5R GPCR activity via detection of β-arrestin recruitment. The included cell pool overexpresses ProLink-tagged mMC5R and EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2. Activation of mMC5R stimulates the recruitment of β-Arrestin-2 and produces EFC signal. This stable cell pool is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells. Please note that this product expresses the Mouse version of this protein. |
