Background Information: | The PathHunter® mMC4R Cell Pool is a stable, engineered cell pool for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This cell pool enables assessment of ligand (e.g. α-MSH) based activation of mMC4R GPCR activity via detection of β-arrestin recruitment. The included cell pool overexpresses ProLink-tagged mMC4R and EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2. Activation of mMC4R stimulates the recruitment of β-Arrestin-2 and produces EFC signal. This stable cell pool is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells. Please note that this product expresses the Mouse version of this protein. |
