Background Information: | CTLA4, or CTLA-4 is also known as cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 or CD152. This monoclonal antibody binds human CTLA4, which functions as a immune checkpoint receptor that downregulates the immune system. CTLA4 is expressed on activated T cells and binds the B7 family members, CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2), and the protein restricts the progression of T cells to an activated state by inhibiting IL-2 secretion and cellular proliferation. Provided as 100 μg of antibody in buffer. |
