Biological Information

Background Information:

C-terminal 6His-tagged, recombinant, human TGFBR2, amino acids 188-end. TGFBR2 is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase which, in association with TGFBR1, forms the receptor for TGF-beta cytokines that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and immune responses. Mutations in TGFBR2 are associated with various cancers as well as Marfan syndrome, a complex connective tissue disease that is characterized by cardiovascular, ocular and skeletal systems disorders. The kinase is a key target in cancer immunotherapy and fibrosis treatment due to its role in tumor suppression and immune regulation.
