Biological Information
Background Information:
Active RIPK5. N-Terminal 6His-tagged, recombinant, full length, human RIPK5. RIPK5 acts as a positive regulator of ERK phosphorylation downstream of fibroblast growth factor-receptor activation and is involved in the regulation of both caspase-dependent apoptosis and caspase-independent cell death. Rare variants of the kinase are associated with human congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract. Recent studies indicate that RIPK5 is a therapeutic target for a number of cancers including breast, colorectal and non-small cell lung cancer.
