How do I supply compounds, and how much do you need?

Compound may be provided as a stock DMSO solution or dry powder. For single concentration (primary) screens, we will need 50 ul of 1000x the desired screening concentration (e.g. 50 ul of 10 mM for a 10 uM screen) or 1-2 mg of dry powder.

How do I supply compounds, and how much do you need?

For small molecules:
  • Provide small molecules as liquid stocks in 100% DMSO.

For biologics:
  • Provide biologics as liquid stocks in PBS or water.
  • Only human or humanized antibodies, goat antibodies and rabbit antibodies are suitable for BioMAP profiling. Mouse and rat monoclonal antibodies are not compatible with BioMAP assay formats.
  • BioMAP assays can be highly sensitive to the presence of endotoxins. Endotoxin must be less than 0.1 EU/mL at the top test concentration. The 100x stock should be 0.1 ng of endotoxin/mL with the 1x test well containing ≤1 pg/mL.

Test Agent Quantities
BioMAP Service Compounds supplied as 1000X (small molecules) Compounds supplied as 100X stock (biologics)
Diversity PLUS Panel 150 μL 1.5 mL
T Cell Autoimmune Panel 180 μL 1.8 mL
Fibrosis Panel 180 μL 1.8 mL
Oncology Panel 120 μL 1.2 mL
System ELECT 70 μL 700 μL
Combo ELECT 350 μL 3.5 mL
Diversity Early Screening (ES) 100 μL 1.0 mL
Oncology Early Screening (ES) 50 μL 500 μL
Triage Early Screening (ES) 100 μL 1.0 mL

Other Considerations
  • Materials that are modified (e.g. with biotin etc.) or have buffer contaminants (from column purifications) that have the potential to interfere with BioMAP assays must be identified. Where appropriate, buffer should be submitted as a separate paid sample.
  • Eurofins Discovery will prepare appropriate fixed dilutions from the stock solution provided. Our standard is either 3-fold or 10-fold stepwise dose response analysis of the sample.

Compound Shipping

  • For orders containing >10 samples, please provide samples plated in labeled 96-well polypropylene plate(s) and include well locations in the Compound Shipping Table. Deep-well plates are acceptable.
  • For orders containing ≤10 samples, please provide samples in labeled polypropylene tubes or plates as described above.
  • Packaging Directions:
    • For all shipments, include a hard copy of the completed Compound Shipping Table and any required Customs Declaration Forms along with the packaging slip on the outside of the box for the courier to access.
    • Include a hard copy of the completed Compound Shipping Table in the package.

You will receive an email confirmation from our compound management team upon receipt of compound(s).

      • Send an electronic copy of the Compound Shipping Table and shipment tracking information to: US56_ProjectManagers@EurofinsUS.com
        • It is recommended to ship samples frozen on dry ice. We recommend 5 lbs of dry ice per transit-day for shipments originating in the continental USA and 10 lbs of dry ice per transit-day for international shipments. All dry ice shipments should be shipped in a Styrofoam container. All samples should be clearly labeled with a compound identifier for tracking purposes.
  • For international shipments, include the additional following information:
    • Commercial invoice.
    • Depending on the carrier chosen, different forms will be required. Please work with your carrier to identify what additional documentation is needed.
    • We recommend including a letter containing the following:
    • A statement saying that the samples (include sample type – e.g., small chemical molecules or proteins, antibodies or peptides; for biologics, you must be specific) are non-hazardous and used for drug development.
    • Include the buffer or vehicle conditions (i.e., PBS, water, DMSO). If other buffers are used please specify "Other" on the CST and include details in the comments section.
    • Include the units of measure for each sample, concentration and how the samples are packaged.
    • Include the Origin of Manufacture (manufacturer and complete address)
    • Include the statement “For research purposes only. Not for human use. Not for sale and of no commercial value.”
