Here we show how PathHunter GPCR Internalization assays can be used to differentiate between strongly internalizing and weakly internalizing agonist compounds. By providing a simple, non-imaging, non-antibody based chemiluminescent assay that is amendable to high throughput screening, PathHunter assays are an ideal tool for quantitatively measuring the internalization and recycling patterns of a GPCR drug target to enable the discovery and characterization of novel GPCR agonists at an early stage of drug discovery.
