BioMAP® Standard Deviation Calculation

BioMAP® Standard Deviation Calculation
Year:
2021

Experimental standard deviations (error bars) are calculated for BioMAP projects when agent samples are run in triplicate, including but not limited to the Oncology Systems, Fibrosis Systems and T Cell Autoimmune Panels. BioMAP proles represent the log transformed ratio of the average of test agent values to the average of vehicle control values, with error bars re ecting both sources of potential variation. Derived from the statistical principle of error propagation, also known as propagation of uncertainty, error bars in BioMAP proles combine uncertainties from both the test agent replicates and vehicle control replicates to accurately represent the standard deviation of the log ratio formula.
