Background Information:
Fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF-23) functions as an endocrine phosphatonin and decreases intestinal absorption of phosphate as well as renal resorption of phosphate. FGF-23 complexes with Klotho and an FGF receptor. The interaction with Klotho limits the activity of FGF‑23. FGF-23 is an agonist for FGFR1 and FGFR4. Provided as 25 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
