Background Information:
Bone morphogenetic protein 6 (BMP-6) is a signaling protein and member of the TGFβ superfamily, responsible for inducing bone and cartilage growth, particularly in early development. Promotes differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells. Has an indirect role in regulation of iron metabolism. Thought to heterodimerize with BMP-2 to act as an agonist to BMPR1A and/or BMPR1B. Provided as 10 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
