Biological Information

Background Information:

The PathHunter® U2OS rTrkA-rP75 Functional Assay provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting RTKs. This kit assesses RTK activation via detection of activated rTrkA and rP75 dimerization-induced SH2 domain protein recruitment. This product uses EFC technology. The included cell line overexpresses PK-tagged rTrkA and an EA-tagged SH2 domain protein. It also overexpresses an untagged co-receptor, rP75 Upon ligand-induced receptor activation, SH2-EA recruitment leads to production of EFC signal.
This stable engineered cell line is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells. Please note that this product expresses the rat version of the protein.
