Biological Information
Background Information:
The PathHunter® Sargramostim Bioassay kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to measure drug potency and detect neutralizing antibodies. This bioassay assesses GM-CSF or Sargramostim-induced dimerization of CSF2RB and CSF2RA receptors. This product uses EFC technology. The cell line included overexpresses CSF2RB target protein fused to PK alongside CSF2RA target protein fused to EA. Upon ligand-induced dimerization of CSF2RB and CSF2RA, detectable EFC signal is produced. This assay has been optimized and qualified with Leukine® (not supplied in the bioassay kit). Leukine® is a registered trademark of Genzyme Corporation (licensed). Bioassay kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, control agonist, detection reagent, and assay plates.
