Biological Information

Background Information:

Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide 27 (PACAP-27) is an endogenous neuropeptide that stimulates adenylate cyclase and increases cAMP levels. It acts as a neurotransmitter and neuromodulator, and demonstrates stimulatory effects on sympathetic neuronal NPY and catecholamine production. Has considerable homology with vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP). Acts as an agonist for ADCYAP1R1. Provided as 500μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
