Biological Information
Background Information:
DHX9 is a member of the DEAD-box RNA helicase family that unwinds RNA or DNA duplexes (or DNA:RNA hybrids) in an ATP-dependent manner. The helicase plays important roles in many cellular processes, including DNA replication, transcriptional activation, post-transcriptional RNA regulation, mRNA translation and RNA-mediated gene silencing. DHX9 has emerged as a significant player in tumorigenesis, infection and autoimmune diseases.
