Background Information:

The F2RL1 Gq Calcium Signaling Cell-Based Assay Kit (CHO-K1) utilizes the F2RL1 Gq cell line. The stable engineered cell line is designed for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) that target GPCRs. This cell line enables the assessment of ligand (e.g., serine proteases, SLIGRL-NH2) based activation of F2RL1 GPCR activity via detection of increasing levels of intracellular calcium. The included cell line overexpresses F2RL1, a naturally Gq coupled GPCR. Upon activation of F2RL1, the resulting calcium activity can be fluorescently assayed using the Calcium NoWash PLUS Detection Kit.
