Growth differentiation factor 2 (GDF-2, BMP-9) is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family that plays a role in cholinergic CNS neuron differentiation and response to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, as well as the regulation of embryonic and adult tissue cell growth and differentiation. Potent circulatory inhibitor of angiogenesis, signaling through the type I activin receptor kinase ACVRL1. Provided as 10 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
