HitHunter® Protease Assays
DiscoveRx's proprietary enzyme fragment complementation (EFC) technology has been adapted to provide a novel method for measurement of proteases. The assay allows for detection of proteolytic activity in-vitro and has an application in screening libraries of compounds for protease inhibitors. The EFC-assay has the advantage of utilizing larger peptide sequences, enabling better recognition of proteases and presents a specific biochemical probe for the protease of interest.
