HitHunter™ Estrogen and Progesterone Assay


The HitHunter™ Estrogen and Progesterone assay are in-vitro based competitive immunoassay for measuring Estrogen or Progesterone analogs that bind to the respective nuclear hormone receptor. It uses EFC detection with a choice of either chemiluminescent or fluorescent intensity readouts.

How does the assay work?

The HitHunter Nuclear Hormone Receptor Assay Kit utilizes an ED-steroid hormone conjugate in which the steroid hormone is recognized by the steroid hormone receptor. In the absence of free hormone, the ED fragment is incapable of reassociation with EA to form active enzyme and no signal is generated. In the presence of free Ligand, ED-steroid hormone conjugate competes with the free Ligand for receptor binding. The amount of signal is proportional to the amount of nuclear hormone receptor bound.
