EFC BlockDetect™ Kit
The EFC BlockDetect™ Kit is used to identify compounds that inhibit β-gal complementation or β-gal activity. β-gal complementation is DiscoveRx's core technology for both cell-based as well as biochemical assays. The assay has been validated for use in both 96-well and 384-well microplate formats. This kit is a companion product for DiscoveRx's PathHunter™ and HitHunter™ Product Lines.

Representative Data: Data for Positive control Titration
The positive control (supplied with the kit) is a proprietary compound known to
inhibit EFC activity in a dose-dependent manner. Percentage activity is calculated
by using the following formula: (Compound RLU/No Compound RLU) x 100%. These
data demonstrate that the positive control inhibits EFC activity in a dose-dependent
manner. Any compound that results in a 30% decrease in signal (RLU) when compared
to the "no compound control" should be subjected to further investigation.
