PACAP (1-27)

Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide 27 (PACAP-27) is an endogenous neuropeptide that stimulates adenylate cyclase and increases cAMP levels. It acts as a neurotransmitter and neuromodulator, and demonstrates stimulatory effects on sympathetic neuronal NPY and catecholamine production. Has considerable homology with vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP).
