[Lys8,9]-Neurotensin (8-13)

[Lys8,9]-Neurotensin (8-13) is the smallest active fragment of Neurotensin, a 13 amino acid neuropeptide of the CNS that is implicated in luteinizing hormone (LH) and dopamine regulation, and prolactin release. Effects of Neurotensin activity include vasodilation, analgesia, hypothermia, and increased locomotion. This [Lys8,9]-analog of neurotensin enhances amiloride-sensitive Na+-dependent transmembrane H+ flux.
