FICZ (5,11-dihydro-indolo[3,2-b]carbazole-6-carboxaldehyde, 6-Formylindolo[3,2-b]carbazole) is a high affinity aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) agonist that induces transient expression of cytochrome P450-1A1 (CYP1A1) in vitro and plays roles in immune response, control of inflammation, cell-cycle regulation, and development and maturation of many tissues.

Cells were plated in a 384-well plate and incubated overnight at 37°C/5% CO₂ to allow the cells to attach and grow. Cells were then stimulated with a control compound, using the assay conditions described below. Following stimulation, signal was detected using the PathHunter Detection Kit according to the recommended protocol.
