PathHunter® Growth Hormone Bioassay Kit

The PathHunter Growth Hormone Bioassay Kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to measure drug potency and detect neutralizing antibodies. This bioassay asseses ligand (e.g. Glucagon-like Peptide 2 (GLP-2)) based on activation of GHR Kinase activity via detection of β-Arrestin recruitment. The included cell line overexpresses ProLink-tagged GHR and EA-tagged . Activation of GHR stimulates the recruitment of and produces EFC signal. This assay has been optimized and qualified with hGH (not supplied in the bioassay kit). hGH is a registered trademark of . Bioassay kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, control agonist, detection reagent, and assay plates.

The above graph is representative dose-response curve with hGH. Using the protocol outlined in the user manual, the data show a potent, dose-dependent phosphorylation of the receptor by the cytosolic tyrosine kinase JAK1 in U2OS cells when treated with a dose-response of hGH.
Format
See User Manual for Product Configuration Details. The purpose of the control ligand included in the Bioassay Kit is for verification of assay performance relative to the data shown in the Certificate of Analysis for that kit. This control ligand is not intended for use as a reference standard for validation studies and lot release applications. Typically, a reference medicinal product (RMP) that has been pre-defined by the customer as an internal reference standard is used for those applications. The RMP is not provided with the bioassay kit or supplied by Eurofins DiscoverX.
