Biological Information

Background Information:

The PathHunter® U2OS XBP1 Nuclear Translocation Cell Line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates affecting the Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) stress response. This cell line enables assessment of endoplasmic reticulum stressors (e.g., Thapsigargin) via detection of resulting XBP1 nuclear translocation. This product uses EFC technology. The included cell line overexpresses PL-tagged XBP1 and nuclear localized EA. Upon pathway activation, induced nuclear translocation leads to production of EFC signal.
This stable engineered cell line is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells.
