Biological Information

Background Information:

UbcH3 (also known as CDC34) is an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme that receives activated ubiquitin from an E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme and mediates its transfer to substrate proteins in conjunction with an E3 ubiquitin–protein ligase complex, thereby catalyzing the formation of covalent ubiquitin–substrate conjugates. Dysregulation of the enzyme has been associated with a number of cancer states including non?small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and multiple myeloma.
