The GPR17 Gq Calcium Signaling Cell-Based Assay Kit (CHO-K1) utilizes the GPR17 Gq cell line. The stable engineered cell line is designed for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) that target GPCRs. This cell line enables the assessment of ligand (e.g., MDL 29,951) based activation of GPR17 GPCR activity via detection of increasing levels of intracellular calcium. The included cell line overexpresses GPR17, a naturally Gq coupled GPCR. Upon activation of GPR17, the resulting calcium activity can be fluorescently assayed using the Calcium NoWash PLUS Detection Kit.
