PathHunter™ Pathway Assays
Cancer, inflammation and many other disease states are associated with abnormal
signaling pathways. Targeting these signaling pathways at different nodal points
has gained popularity in drug development efforts. Pathunter™ technology from
DiscoveRx provides a novel non-imaging, cell-based assay approach for measuring multiple
cellular signaling events such as protein translocation, secretion, degradation and
expression with a highly sensitive chemiluminescent detection. This approach can be
applied to any cell signaling cascade in which a target protein either degrades or
translocates or is secreted. These assays serve as pathway indicators.
Product Features
•Proven ability to create a range of target-based & phenotype assays
•Broad target menu covering many common signaling pathways
Applications
•These cell-based assays can be used to screen for specific inhibitors in the
pathway such as PI3 kinase pathway, Wnt-Frizzled, mitotic index or NFκB
•Study Pathway indicators such as IκB indicative of the NFKb pathway, FOXO
indicative of the PI3 Kinase pathway, β-catenin as an indicator of what signaling
pathway or P53 indicative of the DNA damage pathway
