PathHunter® Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Assays
Receptor Tyrosine Kinases are implicated in disease states such as cancer, metabolic disease, inflammatory disease, cardiovascular and many other disease areas. Biochemical assay uses purified kinase domain, synthetic substrates and lack biological context. A need to understand the kinases in a cellular context prompted DiscoveRx to develop a system to report tyrosine phosphorylation status of proteins in their natural cellular environment. PathHunter® Cell-Based Kinase assay monitors the interaction between wild type, full length receptor proteins with SH2 phosphotyrosine binding domains. The assay does not require antibodies or washes and can be easily adapted to a one-step HTS-friendly assay.
