Job Title:   Associate Product Manager

Summary:

The Associate Product Manager at DiscoveRx will be responsible for working with the Product Management team to oversee activities within their assigned product family. The successful candidate will support sales activities for these products, which includes the launch of new products and training of the sales team. He/she will work with the Product Managers to establish pricing strategies, submit forecasts and develop both short and long-range strategies for product expansion. He/she will need to work closely with multiple departments within DiscoveRx (Marketing Communications, Operations, and R&D) to develop and launch new products and/or enhance existing product portfolios.

Essential Job Functions:

The Associate Product Manager will help achieve profitable growth, meeting or exceeding the revenue plan of the Kinase & signaling assays and Synergy™ Product lines. He/she will support the Product manager with the following:

•  Development of product-specific technical material (flyers, promotional pieces,
   product documentation and technical manuals)
•  Maintain existing web-based content and help create new web pages
•  Gathering key metrics and information used to evaluate new product initiatives
   and product lifecycle management decisions
•  Running reports, analyzing data to monitor sales and identify trends
•  Gather competitive intelligence, assist the product marketing team in analyzing
   the brands’ competitive position in the market, design surveys and train sales
   team periodically
•  Generate application notes for products and contribute to white paper articles

Position Requirements:

•  BS, MS or PhD in the Biological Sciences
•  1-2 years Marketing or Technical Support or application support experience in
   a Life Science company
•  Knowledge of Life Sciences markets and competitive landscape
•  Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written a must
•  Technical writing skills required. Candidate will be responsible for scientific
   and marketing content for web-based campaigns
•  Strong organizational skills, able to multitask effectively
•  Prior experience working with cross-functional teams is a must

Summary:

We are specifically looking for an experienced, energetic product manager with in-depth knowledge of cell biology and cell-based assays in drug discovery. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile and motivated individual who would like to work in a stable yet exciting and fast paced environment that rewards excellence.

Essential Job Functions:

•  Responsible for all product and marketing activities associated with the cell-based
   assays products and a wide range of associated consumable products sold
   worldwide
•  Responsible for product launch, positioning, promotional and pricing strategies
   sales training etc.
•  Analysis of products, position to appropriate customer segments and finally to
   provide feedback on new product development and in-licensing technologies
•  Work with Sales and Tactical Marketing Communications to launch and promote
   products
•  Responsible for analyzing market opportunities and customer needs to define
   opportunities

Position Requirements:

•  MS/PhD candidates with market and/or technical knowledge of cell biology,
   pathways and /or drug discovery markets
•  Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written a must
•  Demonstrated success defining and launching products
•  Prior experience working with cross-functional teams is a must
•  Strong analytical and organizational skills
•  Ability to multitask effectively
•  20% travel required
